The Hero Passion XPro's availability in five variants and eight different colours is definitely an advantage, thus offering customers a wide range of options to choose from. These features have also made the bike the first entry-level commuter motorcycle to be available in the most number of variants.

The company's third launch for the calendar year 2012, this latest pair of wheels to roll out of their stable borrows its 110cc engine from their erstwhile partner's Honda CB Twister and Dream Yuga. The mill is an air-cooled, SOHC engine that can deliver a peak power output of 8.6bhp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.36 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

Hero MotoCorp India was even more generous and further spruced up their executive commuter motorcycle with a digital-analog meter console, tubeless tyres, and a front disc brake. Besides that, Hero Passion XPro also sports a conventional side draft variable venturi (piston) carburetor and a full-transistorised ignition system.

And like most Hero MotoCorp commuter bikes, Passion XPro's engine has also been mated to a 4-speed gearbox. And even though the bike looks quite similar to Passion Pro, its sticker job, new digital-analog tachometer and headlamp makes it look much more chic than its predecessor.

Moving further, the Passion XPro's stylish fuel tank is also an added attraction, which makes the bike look a lot curvier than the others. Also, it is fitted with a sealed VLRA battery that does not require any maintenance. This implies a reduced maintenance cost for the new Hero Passion XPro. Then the wider seats allow the driver and the pillion rider to ride in absolute comfort.

However, the company's latest 110cc engine motorcycle comes with a vertically inclined cylinder, which will definitely find a place in the company's history because the Hero Passion X-Pro is the Hero MotoCorp's first commuter motorcycle that does away with the horizontally inclined four stroke engine layout.

Considering the fact that the Hero Passion XPro's top-end version comes with a front disc brake, tubeless tyres, alloy wheels and an electric starter, the company has left no room for doubt that the motorcycle is indeed one of the better equipped offerings in the nation's commuter motorcycle segment.

Now that this exciting bike has finally set foot in the market, it will be seen giving head-on competition to the following bikes: Discover 100, Suzuki Hayate, and also the two Honda bikes, i.e. Honda Twister and Dream Yuga.

A closer look at the entire process of the latest Hero bike reveals that its launch has been very smartly planned during the peak of the festive season. It comes at a time when Hero MotoCorp had just recently managed to take over Bajaj's number one position from being the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country.
