February 17, 2021 12:54 IST

Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi wed on Monday, February 15.

While Dia chose a white lace dress for a pre-wedding function, she made a strong case for going #VocalForLocal in an classic red silk sari at the wedding.

This was not the first time that Dia gave us a reason to fall in love with the traditional silhouette.

On several occasion in the past, she has stunned us with her choice of casual, handloom and glamorous saris.

Scroll down to get a glimpse of her incredible collection of saris.

'I used to love wearing my mother's saris as a child and play,' she writes.
'Mom kept a few saris for me to wear lest I got to the 'good' ones and destroyed them! 'I'd tie a knot in the first wrap and then fold pleats, wrap the pallo around my waist and play different parts.
'Some days I'd be a teacher, some days a lawyer, some days a labourer... imagining a classroom full of children, a court case or a construction site.
'I'm told I would be every part as I spent hours alone keeping myself entertained!'
