Just who is Maine Mendoza, the 23-year-old Internet celebrity?

The Internet cannot stop gushing over the super successful story of Nicomaine Mendoza, popularly known as Maine Dsouza.

The Philippines born actor-comedienne had started her career as a blogger in 2012.

In 2015, she posted a compiled video of her imitating popular Filipino host Kris Aquino which immediately became viral. It was viewed by over 1 million people which made her an overnight star. 

With three million followers on Instagram today, Maine Mendoza often posts crazy videos and photographs from her daily life to keep her fans enagaged.

She is the cover girl for Mega magazine and rightly so, the magazine claims.

Turns out she is also popular with the kids too. In 2016, she won Nickelodeon Kids' Choice award for Favorite Pinoy Personality.

Maine takes her social media popularity quite responsibly and often supports important social causes.
She encourages same sex marriages and believes that 'everyone has the right to love whoever they want.'
