The No Masks Music Concert

May 13, 2021 10:03 IST

Live music returned to Liverpool, the birthplace of The Beatles, after almost a year since the pandemic hit.

This time around it was a one-off music festival to test whether such events spread coronavirus.

Thousands gathered to witness a mask-free concert, where social distancing was not the norm anymore.

5,000 people attended the music festival as part of a national research programme assessing the risk of COVID-19 transmission with no masks and no social distancing.
