As people across the country celebrate their New Year, Rajesh Karkera/Rediff.com captures a mini procession in the city.

Every year, the Hindu New Year is celebrated with much fanfare and fervour in India.

The Sindhi community brings in its New Year, Cheti Chand by worshiping their isht dev (favourite God) Jhulelal Sai.
