We'd asked you, dear readers to tell us how you met your best friend.

I believe that a friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future and accepts you today just the way you are.

I too have a friend whom I have known for the last 20 years.

His name is Shameer and he is currently working for Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi as a security manager.

I still remember the day I met him in our school The New Indian Model School, Dubai.

I hardly found anyone talking to him; so I got myself introduced.

I was happy to know that we both belonged to the same place in Kerala. And that's how our friendship started.

He was hardly into any sports, but I was a footballer and he used to appreciate the way I played.

After completing our class 12 exam, I went back to Kerala for graduation and lost contact with him.

I came to Dubai to look for a job.

After two to three years, I happened to meet him at one of the malls in Dubai.

We were very happy to see each other. I was very happy to get back to an old friend.

I meet him twice a month.

I love spending time with him because he really knows when to tell me, what I want to hear.

It's ok if you don't have have too many friends. Just one good friend is all that takes to make life worth living. Thanks my friend.
