We'd asked you, dear readers to tell us what is the one life lesson you would want to share

This is what Nalini Kudalkar had to share.

I have many life lessons, but my thinking has been attached to a principle I learnt from a teacher when I was in the 8th or 9th standard.

Smt Sayyed was her name. She taught us science and mathematics.

Life took me through a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs.

Sometimes tragedies and happiness came together, and at times there was only tragedy and depression.

During our school send-off, before the 10th exams, we collected quotes from all our teachers. We hoped to remember these quotes for life.

As a parting shot, Smt Sayyed shared her philosophy 'every good deed leads to God' with the class.

I have always followed this thought and still follow it without any expectation from anyone.

In life, these words have helped me stay grounded.

Come what may, I always plan to follow it and be helpful to people including the worst of my enemies. The rest I shall leave to God.
