Sometimes, just sometimes it helps not to be curious.

If you're travelling abroad anytime soon, this handy list of things might just be of help.

1. Don't touch babies!

Our first reaction to seeing a cute baby is to want to hold it or pick it up or cuddle it.

Right? It's like our ovaries go into overdrive each time we see a cute baby.

Add fair skin to the equation and there is a good possibility you will go berserk. Right?

Several countries in the West have strict laws about interacting with children.

A stranger walking up to a child isn't considered very friendly (heard of child molestation?)

Again, it's a thing. Don't ask!

6. Not walk on the pavements

Pavements are those things along the sides of the roads that are meant for people to walk on.

Mostly used in India by... erm... hawkers and for... erm... other activities, pavements in the West are used for the very purpose they were designed for -- walking!

So unless you like the idea of being fined for jaywalking or being knocked down by a speeding vehicle, pavements are where you should be walking.

7. Not use the Zebra Crossing

You may not know this but those white strips are meant for walking on... specifically to cross the road.

Not using them overseas can cause bodily (not to mention financial) harm.

8. Not wonder if every brown skinned person is Indian

Because you know about half the world is about the same shade of brown as us!
