Raksha Bandhan special: Luv u bro!
To celebrate the special bond between siblings on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, we invited readers to share special moments they've spent with their brothers/sister. Here are some of the responses we received. Share yours!
First up is Mansi Manchanda who mailed us this picture of hers with her brother Sahil when she was 1 and 1.5 year old and her brother was 5.
This picture was taken in 1983 and ever since she was born, writes Mansi, the siblings have celebrated all but one Raksha Bandhan together.
"That year, my brother who seldom shows his emotions. That year he wrote me a very emotional 2 lines letter in which i could read the emotions which he was not able to write!!!!," writes Mansi about her brother's feelings when they could not meet for the Rakhi festival.
"Luv u bro," is Mansi's message to her beloved brother Sahil.

Bhushan Rathi sent us this old picture where he is seen with his sister Swati.
"I am attaching an old picture of me with my elder sister Swati. The picture was taken sometime back in 1989/1990. As you can see in the picture, my sister is giving me a chocolate bar and I believe we had shared that chocolate bar in the end," writes a cheerful Bhushan.

"This is me and my sister Sandhya; this pic is 38 year old taken in 1974," writes Prabhat with much warmth for his sister.
Interestingly, the tradition carries on as Prabhat also sent us a picture of his children celebrating Rakhi.

"This is a picture of me and my brother Saurabh taken on a Raksha Bandhan morning in 1987. Even though me and my brother were sewn in a different pattern, we share a common thread of mutual love and respect that won't be broken by people or years or distance.
