Why we want to be Kate Middleton's BFFs!
The Duchess of Cambridge, who celebrates the third anniversary of her wedding to Prince William today, has been doing a pretty good job of filling in Lady Diana's shoes.
But that's not the only reason why we love her :-)
If you think being married to the future king of England would make the world automatically love you, ask Camilla Parker Bowles.
Seven years after her marriage to Prince Charles, she is yet to rule over the hearts of the people the way Lady Di did.
But Kate Middleton, the commoner who became a duchess... she is another story altogether.
Perhaps it's her effervescent smile, or her superb sense of style, or just the fact that unlike most royals she is easygoing...
There is indeed something about her that makes her so endearing.
While we cannot help but be jealous of her charmed life, truth is we can't help love her too!
So here you have it... all the reasons why we want to be Kate Middleton's BFFs -- best friends forever.
Her impeccable fashion sense
This might just be part of the job description of being married to a prince but think Camilla and Elizabeth and you'll know just why she (not to mention Lady Di) tower over the rest of the Windsor women.
She recycles dresses!
Can you imagine! A princess recycling dresses!?!
Well, Kate does. And the world follows.
She can carry off anything!
Including that hideous headgear which looks like a porcupine.
Yeah! Anything!
Kate Middleton is probably the only woman on this side of the Atlantic who can pull off a cowboy hat.
The queen is her grandmother-in-law
Kate does a pretty good job holding her own in front of the queen of England. And, yes, there is that pretty red dress once again.
Heck, she even humours her
As all good granddaughters-in-law must!
She plays hockey in heels
And scores!
Before you write her off as some snooty royal playing an exhibition game in an Alexander McQueen dress, you must know that she isn't just an accomplished hockey player, but has also excelled in tennis, swimming, netball and was a cross country runner. Bam!
And she even nails the whole parenting thing
Unlike so many celebrity mothers, Kate seems like a hands-on mum... something that only makes her endearing, don't you think?

There's nothing more horrible than to have a partner who has a stiff upper lip while you don't. William probably knows that better than anyone else. Every once in a while, the prince doesn't seem to mind being seen letting his (scarce) hair down.

Exactly the kind you'd want to be set up with :-D.
She isn't stuck up like most other royals
It's easy to get swayed by all the wealth and power and glamour. But Kate has been rooted as ever.
And when you have her attention... it is undivided!

Did we forget? She even had the most-watched wedding ceremony
More than a million people lined the streets of London and an estimated 2 billion around the world watched the ceremony, including that world famous kiss, on television.
And on her wedding day, everyone in Britain got the day off
Everyone, that is, except the poor journalists who brought you the ceremony live.
