It's easy to find a digital single lens reflex or DSLR camera between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh. The market is full of options and every camera has its own advantages and special features. However, the "real" DSLRs are those which are above Rs 1 lakh. Some cameras are even outfitted with the proper lenses and kits above this price range, with the body alone running significantly cheaper.

We hence present our top 5 of the best DSLRs between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh. Each DSLR brings something unique to the table, and at least one features technology that none of its competitors do.

We named the Canon EOS 7D as one of the best DSLR cameras priced between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh. However, this price was just for the body of the device.

It has an 18 megapixel CMOS sensor with a 19 point auto focus system and maximum shutter speed of 1/8000. It can capture images with a maximum resolution of 5184x3456 and recording 1920x1080 video.

At this price point, it's the kit that makes it an even worthier buy.

The overall claim to fame for the camera is the fast burst mode; it can shoot 8 frames per second. Weighing 820 grams for the body alone, with a 35 mm focal length, external and internal pop-up flash, the EOS 7D has a viewfinder with a 1920x1080 resolution.

Other features that it can boast is a wireless flash control and an ISO range sensitivity of 100-6400.

With just the body alone, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III is the go-to device for video recording among photographers. It features a 22.3 full frame CMOS sensor with a DIGIC 5 image processing CPU which is able to take high resolution pictures and videos at a fast rate. It has an auto ISO range of 100-12800, along with a manual ISO range of 100-25600 and an H2 mode of 102400.

The camera can capture images of 5760 x 3840 resolution and 1920x1080 HD videos.

The viewfinder has an LCD display and an eye-level penta-prism viewfinder. It has a maximum shutter speed of a 1/8000 of a second and a minimum shutter speed of 30 seconds.

There is an E-TTL II Auto Flash with a metered manual and external flash. The burst mode is capable of capturing 6 frames per second at high speed but can also capture 3 frames per second in Silent Mode.

It also features several white balancing presets along with different shooting modes and metering. Overall, it weighs 860 grams.

Nikon's D800 has a 36.3 megapixel COMS sensor which can capture images at a resolution of 7360 x 4912. It is able to take pictures at a range of other resolutions such as 5520x3680 and 6144x4080 at different settings.

It can also capture full HD video, 1920x1080 resolution.

The shutter speed is fast, with a maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second. The burst mode is capable of capturing images at 4 frames per second at continuous high-speed mode.

It has an ISO range of 100-6400 with Hi-1 mode of ISO 12800 and Hi-2 with ISO 25600.

It features TTL Phase Detection in auto focus and manual focus mode, with both built-in flash and external flash. There are also several flash modes like Front Curtain Sync, Slow Sync and Red-eye Reduction with Slow Sync.

It has a ton of additional features with its kit, along with several shooting modes such as Auto, Portrait, Auto Flash with Auto Pop-up and more. The white balancing modes are also extensive, along with red eye reduction and a burst mode of 5 frames per second.

The Sony Alpha A99 is a single-lens transluscent camera with an electronic viewfinder -- the first full-frame interchangeable lens camera of its kind to feature the same. The SLT technology allows it to measure distance and position better using the two auto focus systems.

The XGA OLED Tru-Finder is capable of covering 100 percent of the image frame, and relies on a 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor. The device relies on a BIONZ image processing engine, which uses a new noise reduction mechanism for area-specific photography.

It has a dual auto focus system with a main 19 point auto focus system and a 102 point focal plane detection system for the main sensor.

It is capable of capturing full HD video at 60 frames per second and 24 frames per second. It weighs in at 733 grams.

The ISO range is 50-25600 and there are a lot of options in the flash options and shooting modes. The burst mode can capture images at 6 frames per second at full resolution or capture 10 frames per second using the tele-zoom.
