Get Ahead reader Vijay Satti offers the latest news/rumours on Google's second generation Nexus 10 tablet floating in the cyberworld.

Vijay is a BTech in computer science and engineering from Amity University.

The next generation of Nexus 10 seems to be ready for its launch anytime this month. Although, there is no fix release date by Google, EVLeaks(@evleaks), known for providing accurate gadget leaks, posted a tweet which has sparked rumours for its release with the Google Nexus 5.

The first generation Nexus 7, co-developed by Asus on Google's behalf, has been an extremely popular tablet since launching last year. Google set something of a benchmark by pricing the Nexus 7 at an affordable price despite its decent build and specifications.

Consequently, this year in July, Google came up with second generation Nexus 7, an upgraded version of the previous Nexus tablet.

The Nexus 10, a 10-inch tablet manufactured by Samsung, was revealed in November 2012. Google seems to be set to launch the next generation Nexus 10 device.

Rumours are there that Google is ditching Samsung and has tied up with Asus for the production of its new 10-inch tablet.

Design

There seem to be a legit reason why Google is going away from Samsung. Samsung devices could not stand in terms of its build quality. Albeit, they took the smartphones industry to the next level but they could not survive in terms of design. And maybe this is why Google seems to move away.

No doubt Apple have the best devices for their eye-popping design. They set the standards and propelled to top position with their bold and sleek make. On the other hand, Nexus devices are customer’s preference due to Google’s own Android mobile OS and affordable pricing.

Many tech enthusiasts believe that Asus has the potential to stand a chance against Apple.
