The HOTTEST job titles that didn't exist 5 years ago

Leading social networking site LinkedIn had examined the data of over 259 million members' profiles to determine the top 10 most popular job titles that were non existent in 2008.

On Tuesday, January 7, Apple Inc had announced that their customers spent over $10 billion in the App Store in 2013. Of that, over $1 billion was spent in December alone.

Through app economy Apple's total jobs creation figure has grown to 5,98,500 in the US.

Meanwhile, Indian app development market has surpassed $227 million in 2012.

Rewind back to 10 or 15 years and the job market didn't look anything like what it has become today.

We bring you data that has been published by LinkedIn about the jobs that didn't exist five years ago but currently are the hottest job titles in the market.

Who had heard about the iPhone App Developer or who knew what Zumba Academy licensed instructors were?

Yet a substantial portion of the current working population earns their livelihood doing a job that didn't exist a decade ago.

LinkedIn had examined the data of over 259 million members' profiles on its portal to draw up a list of the Top 10 most popular job titles that were nowhere to be found in 2008.

Read on to know what they are and how they've emerged popular over the years.

1. The iOS Developer

Apple announced the iPhone in 2007 and third party development for iOS took off in 2008 with the release of iOS 2 and the App Store.

2. The Android Developer

Google's Andoid platform was also announced in 2007 with the release of the first Android powered handset in 2008.

3. The Zumba Instructor

Zumba started in the early 2000's and quickly gained traction in 2007 as fitness centres started popping up all over the US.

These networks really started hitting their stride after 2008 and are currently at peak popularity. Not a shocker that this is a surging profession.

7. The Big Data architect
