"My five-year-old adopted cat Bertie is certainly the best thing that ever happened to me," writes Rohan Pasricha.
"He is always waiting right at the main door when I'm out, head butts me when I arrive, and never fails to perk me up when I'm stressed.
"If I'm asleep, he'll usually curls around my leg and won't let go -- purring away to glory.
"And all that love is truly unconditional -- which human beings, despite their best efforts, can't provide to each other," he adds.
