MF Guru: 'There are too many MFs in your portfolio'

A P Chaudhuri: I am 56 year old. Want to invest in Mutual Fund. My investments will be one time. Basic idea is to get more return as compared to conventional investments like FD/NSC etc. Pls suggest a few of the Mutual Funds with good return. 

Time frame: 3-4 years.

Omkeshwar Singh: You may consider a basket of hybrid funds considering your age and tenure.

Sudhir Gopal Nair: Myself, Sudhir Nair, age 47 years old, SIP investment in Mutual fund since last 4 years in below MF (Horizon 10years).

Kindly advise whether current funds are good or should switch to some other.

Omkeshwar Singh: Funds are decent however there are too many funds in your portfolio.

VINAY TIWARI: I am a 25 years old boy. I already invest 3000 in Aegon ULIP fund.

I want to invest around 8000 rs per month in SIP. Kindly suggest me some good SIP with how I much should I invest in each.

Omkeshwar Singh: You may consider the below;

I have 45,000 rs and I want to invest it in a mutual fund as lump sum. I was thinking to go ahead with ICICI prudential technology direct growth fund. Kindly let me know your view and suggestions of any.

Omkeshwar Singh: You can proceed with this scheme via lumpsum investment

Bijay Muduli: I am 36 yrs working in a reputed MNC IT company having 14 yrs of IT Experience. I have invested in MF since 2016 with a long goal for capital appreciation, for buying Home, Child education and retirement plan. I can take moderate Risk. Below are my MFs, could you please suggest by looking my portfolio (55% Equity, 45% debt value)

Kishore Babulal Purohit: I am looking for longer horizon of 15/20 years from now with an objective of creating a large corpus for my retirement. I am already investing INR 10000 in below SIPs and request your expert guidance / views whether I should continue investing in such funds or make any change in the strategy. My age as on date is 40 years. Risk appetite is medium.

Rahul Pandey: I am a regular reader of your section. Can you please review my portfolio? All are direct growth funds. I am 38 years old and planning for long term investment for 10+ years to create wealth for my children's education and retirement.

I have divided my portfolio into large cap, mid/flexi cap and small cap based on my risk appetite. I am not investing in DEBT MFs as I prefer PF, PPF and FDs for Debit investments.

1. MIRAE ASSET LARGE CAP - 5000

2. HDFC INDEX SENSEX FUND - 3000

3. UTI NIFTY NEXT 50 - 3000

4. MIRAE ASSET EMERGING BLUE-CHIP - 4500

5. AXIS MID CAP - 3000

6. PARAG PARIKH FLEXI CAP - 3000

7. UTI FLEXI CAP - 3000

8. AXIS SMALL CAP - 3000

9. NIPPON INDIA SMALL CAP - 3000

10. DSP BLACKROCK TAX SAVER - 2000 (Stopped SIP for this and diverted amount to Mirae Asset Large Cap)

I am also planning to invest additional 10k and considering below options to give exposure to different markets/ sectors. Can you please provide your thoughts on this?

1. Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 Fund of Fund - 4000 

2. Mirae Asset NYSE FANG+ ETF FoF - 4000

3. ICICI PRUDENTIAL TECHNOLOGY FUND - 2000. 

Or, shall I consolidate investment on any of the above good existing funds?

Also, I am a bit worried about taxation as I fall in 30% tax bracket so if I need money in emergency (over and above my emergency funds) then it may reduce any gains due to tax liability. Can you please also advise on this?

Omkeshwar Singh: You will not be taxed on your income tax bracket for equity funds but on long term capital gain tax and that is 10%

Susheel Karthik: My wife (Chaitanya) and I are huge fans of your suggestions that you provide to the people & guide them for their financial independence.

I am 30 years (Both are same age) from Bangalore, have been investing in mutual fund from 1+ years.

My wife and I are investing up to 16-17k per month & doing the SIP (Monthly & Weekly) through Coin App.

Below are the list of funds we are currently investing, kindly guide our portfolio is ok to continue for long term (8-10 years) target to achieve around 1 crore.
