Maharashtra CET Results 2013Students can access their results and a scanned copy of their answer sheets on dte.org.in

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) announced the results of the Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) today at 11 am.

Students can access their results on the DTE's official site dte.org.in.

By providing their login details, candidates can also access scanned copies of their answer sheets.

Meanwhile, students will have to collect the original score cards from their respective colleges by June 13, i.e. when they are expected to be available.

Performance in the MT-CET is crucial for admission into the first year of the four-year full time regular degree courses in engineering or pharmacy in any college of Maharashtra.

For those who did not clear the Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination this year, the MT-CET is an alternative route to gain entry into some of the leading engineering colleges in the state of Maharashtra

This year, approximately three lakh students appeared for the Common Entrance Test that was conducted on May 16, 2013 across over 750 centres in the state.

In fact, this was the last time the MT-CET was organised by the state because 2014 onwards, the Common Entrance Test would be replaced by the JEE which will emerge as the all-India entrance test for admission to all the engineering and pharmacy courses in the country.

The revised IIT-JEE which was implemented for the first time this year comprised of JEE Main and Advanced.

Nearly 1,50,000 students cleared the Joint Entrance Examination Main on May 7 to qualify for the JEE Advanced on June 2, the results of which will be announced on Sunday, June 23.
