Look: Popstar Katy Perry wears Falguni-Shane dress to EMAs

The singer chose one of two outfits specially designed by the duo for her MTV Europe Music Awards appearance.

Indian designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, who have in the past dressed international celebrities like Madonna, Fergie, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland have landed another famous client.

The green, studded, feathered body-con mini worn by popstar Katy Perry while receiving the Best Music Video award for her song California Girls at the MTV Europe Music Awards was created by the duo.

"Katy was very keen on wearing this particular outfit while receiving the award, since she knew it would stand out. It was a proud moment for us," says Falguni.

The singer liked the outfit that the Peacocks had previously designed for her X Factor appearance so much that her stylist requested a few options for the MTV Europe Music Awards too. The brief reached the Peacocks about a month ago and they had two outfits sent out to her -- a cat suit and a dress. She selected the latter. "It was good fun and extremely exciting designing something outrageous for Katy," quips Falguni.

This is not the first time that Katy has favoured an Indian designer -- back in 2008, she donned a Manish Arora creation to perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
