Indian diplomat Abhay K to release his book of poems today

What: Release of Candling the Light, a collection of poems written in Moscow by poet and diplomat Abhay K. The poems focus not only on individuals but on family and society and thus become a reflection upon both individual and collective experience.

Candling the Light, is Abhay's third collection of poems written in Moscow from 2005 to 2007, is the unbridled impulse of the human heart.

"Universal in nature they promise simple answers to the complex and intricate problems of modern living in a world of progress and innovation," said Abhay of his third such release.

"These poems, above all, are about hope, they help people to believe in tomorrow and the goodness of humanity," added Abhay.

When: At 6 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2011.

Where: Sahitya Akademi, Rabindra Bhawan, 35, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi 110001

Who will attend: The book will be released by Suresh K Goel, Director General, ICCR in the presence of eminent personalities like Keki Daruwalla, K Satchidanandan, J P Das, A J Thomas and Sandeep Marwah.
