What: The Chevening Gurukul Scholarships for Leadership is now open for applications.

The Chevening Gurukul Leadership Programme at the London [ Images ] School of Economics (LSE) is the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office's premium scholarship scheme for India [ Images ], and offers an intensive, 12-week, all-expense paid course at the LSE.

The programme will be a closely supervised programme filled with project work, academic courses, field visits, seminars, debates, and interactions -- with public figures from different arenas of life.

When: Late September 2011 to mid December 2011.

Who can apply: Mid career professionals with a minimum of 5 years of work experience, proven academic ability, and leadership skills. You must be an Indian passport holder.

Important dates: The last day for application is April 11, 2011.
