Results for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) to the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will be declared today.
For about 4.85 lakh aspirants, today is the day when they will know just what direction their life will take as the results for the IIT-JEE are being declared today.
The JEE is the stepping-stone for the prestigious 16 Indian Institutes of Technology.
There are 9600 seats up for grabs while an estimated 4.85 lakh candidates have appeared for the examinations this year.
Results of the JEE will be posted on its website jee.iitd.ac.in as well as on the notice boards of all the IITs.
The IITs have also set up helpline numbers as well as medical boards in IIT-Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Kanpur and IIT-Madras, which means that unlike until last year physically handicapped students needn't travel all the way to Delhi for a medical check up.
Following the JEE, the IITS had published the model answer paper on their website, acknowledged errors that added up to 36 marks and promised to grant full marks to those candidates who had attempted these questions.
