May 06, 2015 12:19 IST

What should you keep in mind while using the treadmill? Tell us!

Dave Goldberg, the CEO of SurveyMonkey and husband of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg died after a freak accident on a treadmill.

Are you guilty of taking the machine for granted?

The death of Dave Goldberg is perhaps the most shocking news to have come out of Silicon Valley this year.

Goldberg, husband to Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and the CEO of SurveyMonkey, fell off a gym treadmill at a resort in Mexico where he was vacationing with his family.

You can control the speed of an elliptical trainer or a cycle but one misstep on a high-speed treadmill and the consequences could be dire.

So how do you stay safe on a treadmill?
