Vanity Fair's 24th annual Oscar issue features '12 extraordinary stars' and is shot by world famous photographer Annie Leibovitz. But all of that has been sidelined because of not 1 but two epic Photoshop fails.

The cover features Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hanks, Michael B Jordan, Zendaya, Jessica Chastain, Claire Foy, Michael Shannon, Harrison Ford, Gal Gadot, Robert De Niro, and Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter.

However, the cover has become a source of much hilarity on the Internet with people discovering that Witherspoon seems to have three legs in it.

And that isn't all. In a separate photograph, it appears that Winfrey has three hands.

Vanity Fair has said what appears to be Reese Witherspoon's third leg is in fact just the lining of her dress.

In response to the errors, Vanity Fair tweeted, 'While we would have loved the exclusive on @RWitherspoon's three legs, unfortunately it's just the lining of her dress.'

They added, 'As for @Oprah, how can we expect her to juggle it all with just two hands? (We are correcting this error online.)'

Witherspoon and Oprah both had their share of the fun with the gaffes.

Witherspoon tweeted, 'Well...I guess everybody knows now...I have 3 legs. I hope you can still accept me for who I am. And I will never apologize for snuggling @Oprah... if you get the opportunity, I highly recommend it ;).'

Winfrey applauded her and tweeted -- with emoji for three hands and a heart -- "I accept your 3d leg. As I know you accept my 3d hand."

Vanity Fair is correcting this photograph in its digital edition.

However, that is not the end of the controversies surrounding the Vanity Fair Hollywood issue.

In the wake of the sexual misconduct allegations levied against him, actor James Franco was removed from the issue after he sat for a photo shoot and conducted an interview for the piece titled '12 Extraordinary Stars, One Momentous Year.'

Allegations of sexual misconduct involving Franco, who won the best actor trophy at the Golden Globes, emerged after he attended the event sporting a 'Time's Up' pin.

'We made a decision not to include James Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him,' Vanity Fair said in a statement released to E! Online.
