Guwahati-based designer Anuradha Kuli has been quietly contributing to a fashion revolution in India.

Daughter of a master weaver, she was inspired by her mother to pursue designing and revive the traditional art forms.

Perhaps one of the oldest designers in the list, she made her debut at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016, as part of the #MadeInAssam show.

Her collections are proof of years of excellence and experience in weaving techniques.

IMAGE: The designer spends about a week spinning each saree and the results, as you can see, is stunning. There are about 50 weavers working with her.

IMAGE: You can never go wrong with black and gold. Team it with a high neck blouse for additional impact.

IMAGE: The fabrics are naturally dyed and are sustainable. Printed and collared blouses, anyone?

IMAGE: Drape it the way you want; the traditional saree will never go out of fashion.
