Hotties in Paris or India: Who wore Manish Arora better?

Last updated on: August 23, 2017 08:43 IST

The celebrated international designer believes Indians are ready to go global when it comes to fashion. It is what inspired him to bring his Paris collection to Mumbai in its original form.
Vote to tell us who wore it better?

Manish Arora, who has been winning hearts on the biggest international runways for more than a decade, is convinced that the Indian fashion scene has evolved immensely and is ready to embrace global trends.

"Ten years ago when I started showing in Paris there were hardly any people from India travelling there," he tells the Press Trust of India. "Right now you go anywhere you see Indian people, not NRIs but people from India. They are now travelling a lot, they are seeing things and gaining experiences."

He adds, "Around 60 per cent of our population is in the '30s, and they all have this craving to learn and be a part of the global phenomenon, and fashion is one of them. Indians are now ready to go global."

So strong is Manish Arora's conviction about this, that he brought his latest Paris collection to Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 in its original form: "I wanted to showcase here what I show internationally because the Indian market is now becoming open to things happening globally."
