'Everyday is a cheat day for me'

Last updated on: September 07, 2017 13:00 IST

Whoever thought that models starve themselves needs to think again!

Model Janvi Deori from Guwahati has a figure to die for -- most girls her age would only dream of achieving that lean bod.

But once you get to know what she loves to eat, you'll be shocked.

In an interview with Jahnavi Patel/Rediff.com she spills the beans behind her svelte figure.

Janvi walked for designer Asa Kazingmei during Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017.
Soon after the show the designer posted a pic of her and wrote: 'She was a princess with the strength of a WARRIOR!'

Foray into modelling

Actually north eastern people are not that tall.

I was the tallest among all my friends and they recommended I try modelling. So here I am now!

Do models from abroad have an edge over Indian models?

Their height is always good and their body is perfect as always. So I feel that at times.

What about models with a fair complexion?

No, I don't think so.

Trend changes from time to time.

I think right now the dusky tone is in.

How safe women are in India?

In particular, (there) are places that aren't safe.

(However) Mumbai, I think is quite safe.

I have been living here since the last seven months and I feel it is a safe place.

Skincare tips

To be honest, I don't really take care of my skin, but I drink a lot of water.

I remove my make up right after the show. That's it.

Cheat days

I don't maintain any kind of diet.

I eat a lot of cheese, burger and chocolate.

Everyday is a cheat day for me actually.

Secret to staying fit

Do yoga and hit the gym. That's my suggestion to maintaining a healthy and fit body.

Try to exercise, drink a lot of water and eat healthy.

Style mantra

I don't have that kind of style sense.

I prefer to wear unisex, comfortable clothes.

Be stylish at the same time you should be comfortable.
