Is this the best budget smartphone?

If you do not require too many higher specs I would say that the Mach One is a better bet than Karbonn Titanium Mach Two for your money.

Titanium MACH TWO S360

Karbonn had created a very good phone in the Mach One and I had a chance to review it earlier this year. The phone was so much bangs-for-the-buck that I bought one for my mother immediately after. When Karbonn told me that they are sending me the Mach Two to test I was more than a bit excited.

A bit underwhelmed to tell you the truth. It is not at all bad but I think the Mach One had raised my expectations. Let us go through the quick pieces.

Body and finishing

The phone is beautiful looking. Very sturdy to the touch and has ergonomically placed buttons that are easy to reach and use. The phone body gives you a lot of confidence and I wasn’t trying to be delicate with it. This is better than the Mach One which feels fairly delicate.

Performance

It has a blazing fast 1.4 Ghz octa core processor that handles multi-tasking and games very well. Too many apps open will expend a lot of RAM and the phone will ultimately hang momentarily but that is to be expected – don’t try to use this phone like a computer and you are fine.

I was using three chat clients at one time and I did find some lag -- but hey that is fine. There is a 1900 mAH battery which is not that power-packed -- so do not push your luck.

Camera and visuals

There is an adequate camera here that does capture still objects in daylight very well. Do not try to take shots in low light; you will be very disappointed.

The 8-MP rear camera does a decent job but don't try to make posters of these pictures. It is a camera phone people -- take shots of dew drops, put them up on Instagram and you are set.

User experience

I do not like the custom skin on the 4.4.2 KitKat that this phone runs. I am very particular I guess about how the theme looks -- maybe you don't have an issue. This can be changed with basic apps of course -- so don't let this get you down.

Overall

For about 9,500 bucks this is a very good phone -- it has all the makings of a sturdy phone for you guys out there that do not want to spend big bucks.

If you do not require too many higher specs I would say that the Mach One is a better bet for your money.

Would I recommend it? At this budget best phone!
