According to Swiggy, Indians ordered an average of 95 biryanis per minute.
Of the 35,056 varieties and combos of biryanis available; the most popular ones of 2019 are boneless chicken biryani, chicken dum biryani, mutton biryani, egg biryani, veg biryani and paneer biryani.
Gulab jamun is India's favourite dessert
Gulab jamun (17,69,399 orders), moong dal halwa (2,00,301) and falooda (11,94,732) topped the list of most ordered desserts.
'Choco pie and drink' was ordered 79,242 times in Chandigarh alone.
Other popular sweet treats were death by chocolate, tender coconut ice cream, tiramisu ice cream and kesar halwa.
