West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam results to be announced by June 5

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will declare the results for the WBJEE held on April 22, 2018.

The WBJEE 2018 result is expected to be announced on June 5 by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

The result will be declared in online mode for the entrance exam conducted on April 22, 2018.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is offline state entrance test for admissions to the various engineering institutions in the state.

The result will be published in the form of a rank card, which will contain all relevant ranks, total and component scores in paper-I (Mathematics) and paper-II (physics & Chemistry). The entrance exam result can be downloaded in PDF format.

To check the result, candidates will have to log-in to their account by submitting their application number and password.

Follow these steps to check WBJEE result:

  • Visit the official website and click on ‘WBJEE 2018 Result’ link
  • The applicant dashboard will appear. Log-in by using application number and password.
  • The result will appear on the screen.
  • Check all the details mentioned on it and click on the ‘Download’ tab.
  • The WBJEE result will be downloaded in the form of rank card.
  • Take a print out of it as it will be needed at the time of counselling and admission procedure.

What will it carry?

Before downloading the rank card, candidates need to ensure that given below details mentioned on it are correct.

In case the details are incorrect, candidates must contact the WBJEE immediately for rectification.

Here are details that will be mentioned on the result/rank card that need to be cross-checked by the candidates:

  • Name and Gender
  • Roll number and Rank
  • Total scores
  • Component scores in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Date of birth
  • Category and Domicile
  • Application number

What if a candidate needs a duplicate rank card?

Duplicate rank cards will not be generated at any later stage after completion of e-counselling and admission conducted by the Board.

Hence candidates are advised to retain their rank cards carefully in for all future purpose.

In case a candidate needs a duplicate rank card even after completion of e-counselling and admission conducted by the Board, the same can be provided, but only till July 31, 2018.

In order to get a duplicate rank card, the candidate has to apply to the Board and pay a processing fee of ₹500 by a bank draft in the name of 'West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board' payable in Kolkata.

What after result?

The candidates who will secure ranks will be called to participate in e-counselling.

It may be noted that candidates can apply using their WBJEE or JEE Main ranks.

To participate in counseling, candidates need to register and fill their choices of colleges and branches in order of their preference after payment of a counseling fee of ₹500.

Therefore, it is advisable that candidates are aware about the top engineering colleges in West Bengal accepting WBJEE score before they fill their choices.

It is also better to be equipped with the knowledge of the WBJEE cutoff details so that choice filling can be done correctly.

Seat allotment is on the basis of merit and the choices filled.

Once the seat allotment is done, candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges for document verification and complete the admission process by paying the requisite fee!
