CBSE Class X results: Girls score better than boys again

This year 98.94 per cent girls cleared the central board's class 10 board examination. Read on for details

The Central Board of Secondary Education today declared the Class X results which recorded a pass percentage of 98.76, a marginal increase over last year.

Girls once again outshone boys in the Class X Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations results that were announced throughout the country today.

The pass percentage of girls stood at 98.94 per cent as compared to 98.64 per cent for boys.

According to a CBSE statement, the pass percentage in Chennai region, at 99.8 per cent, was the highest in the country.

The results in that region were declared on May 26.

Students and schools can access the results at www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in.

The results can also be accessed through various modes like Interactive Voice Response System by dialiing the telephone numbers 011-24300699 and 011-28127030 and by sending SMS containing roll number to the service providers.

Over 12 lakh students had appeared in the examination this year.
