Send in your Rakhi videos, pics and messages today!
July 29, 2009

The symbolic festival of Raksha Bandhan is nearly upon us.

The frail decorative thread that a sister ties to her brother's hand each year is meant to signify an inseparable bond of love and trust between them.

But in today's fast-paced world, life can take you in different directions and siblings don't always get the chance to spend Raksha Bandhan together.

So we at rediff.com are making a small attempt to help those who are seperated by geographical distances to reach out to each other.

This year, surprise your brother or sister by sending video wishes to him/ her on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Just shoot a video of your message to your sibling -- it could be a few words, an aarti, anything special -- and upload it on rediff iShare.

To facilitate easy viewing of the videos, please name them thus: Your name -- Rakhi wishes to -- and the name of your brother/ sister.

You can email us the link to your video at getahead@rediff.co.in and we'll feature it right here on rediff.com.

And if you'd rather just send in written messages and accompanying photographs of you and your sibling, you can do that too! We'll publish the best ones right here!

It's a really simple and unique way of showing your love, so send in your messages today.
