Features

~ The awardees will be selected based on their academic record and an interview, followed by a written test (if necessary).

~ They will be expected to work on research projects for a minimum period of one year in different departments/ schools/ centres/ inter-disciplinary programmes based on their academic background and research interests.

~ The Research Fellowship Scheme is open to BTech/ BE/ MTech/ MBA/ MA/ MCom/ MSc/ MBBS or equivalent degree, with or without experience. Students with research inclinations in Humanities, Bio-sectors, Management and with background other than the above can also apply.

~ The awardees with BTech/ BE or MSc qualification will be awarded a stipend of Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. Degree holders with experience may be considered for a higher amount.

~ Other benefits include funding for participation in national & international conferences, library facilities, hostel accommodation and working with proven international collaborators (where applicable).

~ The awardees (who have not completed their degrees) will have an opportunity to work on research projects under the mentorship of faculty members/scientists during their summer vacation. On completion of their degrees, they could be considered for Research Fellowship, subject to performance during the summer internship.

~ Rs 3000 per month for summer internship for a maximum of two months.

Eligibility

~ The summer internship scheme is open to pre-final year BTech/ BE/ MA/ MCom/ MSc/ ME/ MTech/ MBA/ MBBS or equivalent degree students.

~ Final year students appearing for their final exam shall apply for Research Fellowship.
