I miss you, Didi: Raksha Bandhan wishes
August 03, 2009

We invited readers to send Raksha Bandhan wishes to their siblings using pics, videos or simple messages. Here are a few of the responses we received:

Here is Tania Ray's message to her brother, accompanied by a childhood snap:

Dear Bhai,

Wish you a very Happy Raksha Bandhan. Thanks for being such a great brother and always being by my side. On this Rakhi day, although we are miles apart and across countries, you will be always there in my heart.

Have a great life and wish you all the happiness.

Love Didi

Reader Jai Kalra has this message of love for his sister:

To my darling sister:

You've been living away from home so long now, but you always send a rakhi and I always forget to send you a gift. This year, I wanted things to be different -- I wanted to make the first move. So I'm sending you all my love and best wishes this Raksha Bandhan (and yes, a present too!) and I hope that next year I get to see you in person and spend this special day with you.

Forever your mischievous brother,

Jai

Ankit Pehlajani from Mumbai [Images] wanted to say a few words to his sister too:

Dear Anu Didi,

I know things have not always been great between us. We were inseparable as children and now we have drifted apart over petty issues, I feel.

I miss you every day, expecially on Raksha Bandhan and I want things to be alright between us again this year. I want my Didi back -- so please, yaar, let's forget everything that happened in the past and make a new start.

Wishing you a very happy Raksha Bandhan,

Your brother,

Ankit

And finally, we have this message for Zubin Engineer from his sisters Zoya:

Hi Bro,

This is Zoya. I just wanted to wish you a very happy Raksha Bandhan. I know you're all the way in America, but I hope you remember me on that day and when you come back, make sure to bring me lots of chocolates! Miss you and look forward to speaking to you soon.

All my love,

Your sis Zoya.

This year, surprise your brother or sister by sending wishes to him/ her on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

Just shoot a video of your message to your sibling -- it could be a few words, an aarti, anything special -- and upload it on rediff iShare.

To facilitate easy viewing of the videos, please name them thus: Your name -- Rakhi wishes to -- and the name of your brother/ sister.

You can email us the link to your video at getahead@rediff.co.in and we'll feature it right here on rediff.com.

And if you'd rather just send in written messages and accompanying photographs of you and your sibling, you can do that too! We'll publish the best ones right here!

It's a really simple and unique way of showing your love, so send in your messages today.
