Indian students experience education Disney-style

This summer, a group of Indian students will spend their summer holidays in the United States learning all about art, science, animation and technology as they frolic at the Walt Disney [Images] World Resort in Florida [Images].

As part of the educational offerings of Disney Youth Education Series (YES), 11 school groups from India will travel to the US to experience education Disney-style.

Students from Amritsar [Images], Phagwara, Jalandhar, New Delhi and Surat will make the trip to participate in programmes like Disney Production Arts and Sciences, which demonstrates the art of movie making from storyboarding to marketing a production and Disney Animation Magic where students learn the history of animation and the impact that Walt Disney had on the medium.

Some of the other programmes organised for the kids are Dynamics of Technology, which demonstrates how technology has advanced society, and Properties of Motion: Energy and Waves, which explains how visual effects are used in Disney attractions. Ocean Discoveries, Making Waves with a Marine Career, and Disney Leadership Excellence are also part of the groups' itineraries.

Disney YES areas of study include physical and natural science, culture and leadership, art, humanities and history.
