Sport a glowing complexion this winter

December 9, 2008
Winter is a wonderful season to look forward to -- festivities, celebrations, New Year around the corner, the welcome chill in the air after the searing heat of summer months. Here are a few simple tips to help keep your skin healthy and glowing through the nippy days.

  • Always use moisturiser on damp skin to double its efficacy, as it locks in a layer of moisture next to the skin. Repeat frequently. Dry skin needs moisturising 4-6 times a day.

  • Ensure that your moisturiser contains sun block. The sun may feel warm and welcome on cold winter days but the potential for ultra violet damage is still there. Protect yourself from ageing and photodamage during sun-basking.

  • Use moisturising or glycerine-based soaps (try Dermadew or Glyvera) and soap-free cleansers for the face (Cetaphil or any other product which has no soap content).
