The question and answer segment provided a dash of humour to the otherwise serious affair. Each of the ten contestants answered a question from one of the three celebrity judges: Alyque Padamsee, Ashok Salian and Sharon Prabhakar. The best answers were witty, compassionate and coherent.
Rajeev Ranjan's response, shown in the video, was very well received by the audience, and propelled him into the lead.
