Designer Ruchi Mehta to wow LFW with partywear
October 12, 2007

Participating in the 'Emerging Designers' category of Lakme Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2008 this year is 32-year-old Ruchi Mehta, a mother-of-one and a lady with a definite sense of fashion.

Ruchi launched her own label, 'Salt' back in 2003 and this year her fun, flirty line, christened 'Kick the Addiction' celebrates partywear. Ruchi says that her showing will kick off with a few well-cut designs in dark colours and move on to lighter hues and more feminine outfits, much like a reserved, quiet girl shedding her shy image in favour of something bold and cheerful.

The outfits she has chosen for Fashion Week are all created using textured fabrics, with no zippers, minimal buttons and overall easy-to-wear styles. Also, this enterprising designer has created a line of chic handbags, accessories and belts to go with her creations.

Ruchi supplies to boutiques both within the country and abroad, so you can be sure her line is up to par with international trends.
