It's not the perfect time in the year to travel, particularly if you are headed for the north of India.

Due to thick fog and poor visibility, 43 domestic and 14 international flights have been diverted from Delhi since December 31.

Since the midnight of January 2, 37 in-coming flights and 50 departures were cancelled at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport.

Train travel, too, was affected for the third day in a row.
