Women's beauty products men love to use!

August 1, 2007
Imagine you are seated in your favorite beauty parlour, which incidentally happens to be unisex. Imagine getting a nice, warm facial massage. Now imagine chatting with the man lying in the next cubicle.

Well, you might think it's the pits, but the reality is men having facials does not raise eyebrows anymore. In fact, the guides who help men look better are -- of course, the women in their life.

More and more metrosexual men are opting for beauty treatments and beauty products. Cosmetics are no longer a woman's domain, with men now recognising the need for their own kitty of cosmetics (some even have brand preferences). We spoke to a few men and have listed five cosmetics that they feel are must-haves. Most admit they picked them from a woman's cache.

Face wash
This is something that a woman on the move is almost always spotted with. The baton is now being shared with man next to her.

These are largely men who spend a lot of time outdoors -- typical sales and marketing jobs for which clean looks are essential. "I carry the Palmolive face wash in my bag. It is slightly bulky but is non-messy," says Suresh Nair from Navi Mumbai. "You tend to sweat a lot and it gives you a dirty look. A face wash can help men look clean and presentable."

There are a wide range of face washes now available in the market for different skin types. It is advised that you read the fine print before buying any product. For men with sensitive skin, try a face wash that does not have a strong odour or is brightly coloured. Try brands that are tested for hypoallergenic skins.
