Is someone out to get you?

July 07, 2006 15:59 IST

Do you often get the feeling that someone is being nasty to you? That someone hates you? That you are deliberately being picked upon? If you do, you may not be alone.

According to clinical psychologists at King's College, London, one in three people regularly have suspicions that someone is out to get them. Going by their research in the UK, 40 per cent of people worried regularly that others were making negative comments about them. Twenty-seven per cent believed other people were deliberately trying to irritate them. Five per cent felt there was an army of conspirators out to harm them.

Is this just paranoia? Do you share the same feelings? Tell us.
