What: The National Institute of Fashion Technology invites applications for the following undergraduate and post-graduate programmes:

~ Undergraduate Programme in Design in the following disciplines:

~ Undergraduate Programme in Fashion Technology 

~ Post-graduate Programme in Fashion Management 

~ Post-graduate Programme in Fashion Technology

Are you eligible?

For UG Programmes in Design and Fashion Technology

~ You could have passed Class XII or its equivalent from a recognised Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination/ Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or abroad, recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. 

~ You could have passed the Senior Secondary Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects. 

~ You could hold a three or four-year diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

~ You could be a final year student awaiting your result.

Note: For Fashion Technology, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects.

For PG Programme in Fashion Management

~ You must be a graduate or its equivalent in any discipline, recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.

~ You could hold a diploma in Accessory/ Fashion Design/ FIT from NIFT.

~ You could be a final year student awaiting your result.

For PG Programme in Fashion Technology

~ You must be a BE/ BTech in Textiles/ Apparel/ Mechanical/ Industrial/ Production/ Electronics/ Computer/ Information Technology.

~ You could be a final year student awaiting your result.

Selection method

~ You will be shortlisted on the basis of your performance in the written test.

~ Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a group discussion followed by a personal interview.

How to apply

~ Obtain the application form and prospectus on payment of Rs 200 from any branch of the UTI Bank [Get Quote].

~ You may also obtain the application form and prospectus via post by sending a request along with a demand draft of Rs 300 in favour of NIFT, payable at New Delhi, to any of the NIFT centres.

Important dates

~ Issue of application form ends: December 9.

~ Please send in your completed application forms before December 15.

~ Date of examination: February 12, 2006.
