What: Fat-free Spicy Buttermilk.
This low-fat yogurt drink has flavoured variants, blending natural yogurt and natural fruit concentrates.
Launched by Balan Natural Foods Pvt Ltd, a packaged foodstuff company in Bangalore, this buttermilk will soon be available in 100 cities in India.
"It is low-fat buttermilk. Fat, cholestrol, weight -- all these have become the subject of the day with youth and middle-aged people. There has been a lot of discussion about the content of carbonated drinks. Buttermilk is natural," says A Nandaa Kumar, CEO, Balan Natural Foods Pvt Ltd.
Price: Rs 8 for 200 ml.

This buttermilk is the cheapest in the product category of tetra packs.
Spicy Buttermilk could be a good option for people looking to beat the heat in the summers, but want to avoid carbonated drinks.
What you might like to know: This product has a shelf life of eight months.
The drink has to go through a process of sterilisation to ensure that it is bacteria-free.
By December 2005, the company will bring out the drink in 12 flavours.
The company also plans to launch fruit and vegetable juices, and ready-to-eat meals.
