Most popular actor? Not me, says Askhay

If you think movie stars have huge egos, think again. One such superstar with unbelievable humility is Akshay Kumar [Images].

The actor whose latest film, Chandni Chowk To China releases this Friday, refused to accept the Star Screen Award for most popular actor on Wednesday night. The reason? He says he doesn't deserve it.

Akshay was nominated for his film Singh is Kinng [Images] which was a hit with the masses.

"It is Aamir Khan [Images] who deserves this award," Akshay said.

A source said Akshay did not accept the award because he had recently seen Aamir Khan in Ghajini [Images] and felt that Aamir's role was fantastic.

Ghajini managed to do a business of more than Rs 200 crore compared to Singh is Kinng's Rs 125 crore.

"I will request Aamir to accept this award instead of me," Akshay added.

Given Aamir's aversion to award shows, it would be interesting to see if the actor will accept the award.
