Last year, Hollywood actress Jessica Alba [Images] was crowned the Sexiest Woman in the world by the FHM magazine, after a worldwide survey.

Now, the search is on for Alba's successor, and this time she could be an Indian! That's right. Polls and votes are already flooding in for FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2008. And in its first year in India, this could be the definitive search for the most beautiful women on the planet.

"Across the world, Indian women are always considered one of the most beautiful," says Farhad Dadyburjor, editor of the  magazine. "So it was only fitting that FHM's largest international poll should be held in India this year. We've shortlisted a selection of 100 gorgeous women from diverse fields -- the hottest women from Bollywood, Hollywood, fashion, music, society and even some yummy mummies. Giving stiff competition to their foreign counterparts such as Scarlett Johansson [Images], singer Rihanna, and supermodels Gisele Bundchen [Images] and Kate Moss [Images], are our very own Bipasha Basu [Images], Kareena Kapoor [Images], Ujjwala Raut [Images], Deepika Padukone [Images], Aishwarya Rai [Images], Priyanka Chopra [Images] and Sushmita Sen [Images].

The winner will be the cover girl of FHM India's June issue.
