March 14, 2008 12:23 IST

A poster of Roman Polanski's 1974 classic ChinatownMumbai is in for a feast of good cinema.

The Enlighten film society is showing an interesting, eclectic mix of some very watchable films in the city's Cinemax and Metro Adlabs [Get Quote] theatres.

The films featured include classics like Stanley Kubrick's [Images] 2001: A Space Odyssey, Roman Polanski's horror classic Rosemary's Baby and the pictured Chinatown -- recently adapted in Hindi as Manorama Six Feet Under.

Other films are as varied as Bahman Ghobadi's Kurdish film, A Time For Drunken Horses and Al Gore-led global warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth.

Bollywood filmmakers -- and audiences -- would be well advised to check the local listings and attend.
