The Terminator on TV!
March 07, 2008 11:29 IST

The Terminator is back.

But this time the cyborg tale will not be seen on 70 mm screen. That's right, the new 'Terminator' is a television series based on the Arnold Schwarzenegger [Images] starrer of the same name.

The series is based on the eighties' flick, The Terminator about a cyborg (played by Arnold) sent back in time by the evil, intelligent machines of the 21st Century to assassinate Sarah Connor [Images], an innocent woman (played by Linda Hamilton), whose unborn child will pose a threat to their mission.

The Terminator was followed by it's sequel, Terminator 2: The Judgement Day.

Now, the television series that premiered in the US in January, is set in time right after Terminator 2. Called Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the new show stars Lena Headey in the role of Sarah Connor.

Premiering on March at 9 pm on Zee Cafe, the series kicks off when Connor stops running and goes on the offensive against the technological enemy bent on destroying her son's life, and perhaps the world.

Now the question is can Lena possibly slide into Hamilton's shoes and bring back the steely, gritty Sarah Connor?
