Sarath Kumar's daughter debuts

After Shruthi Haasan, one more daughter of a high profile actor is debuting in films. Though Kamal Haasan's [Images] daughter was supposed to debut in a Tamil film opposite Madhavan [Images], she backed out and decided to start her stint in films in Hindi opposite Imran Khan [Images].

The new kid in the block is Varalakshmi, Sarath Kumar's daughter from his first marriage to Chaya. Sarath Kumar is also has a political party of his own and is also the President of South India Film Artistes Association.

Varalakshmi will enter the Tamil film world in a romantic comedy titled Poda Podi opposite Silambarasan. The film will be shot in Toronto.

Unlike many other star kids, Varalakshmi was more into studies till now. After completing her studies (Microbiology) in India, she did her masters in  Business Management from the University of Edinburgh.

But the acting bug bit her and she decided to join the Anupam Kher [Images] school of acting. Now, she is said to be an accomplished salsa and ballet dancer. Poda podi will be produced by Shanaya Film that earlier made Hindi films like Champion, Supari and Kabhi bhi Kahi bhi.
