Kamal Haasan's Marmayogi gets the green light

Dispelling all the speculations that are going around, Pyramid Saimira and Kamal Haasan [Images] have come out with their statements that Kamal's next venture Marmayogi will jointly be produced by M/s Pyramid Saimira International Ltd and M/s Rajkamal International Ltd.

According to Pyramid Saimira group, Marmayogi will be a trilingual, to be made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The group also has plans to produce the film in English as well.

Marmayogi based on Kamal Haasan's story will be directed by the actor himself. He will also play the lead role in the film.

As the film is to be made in "mega-size, the decisions of lead artists, technicians and other key people will be taken jointly with utmost care and conisderation," a Pyramid Saimira release said.

A formal agreement has been signed between the parties and a detailed planning for the project is going on at frantic phase. "The project will be a landmark one in technical as well as cinematic qulaities and will try to project Indian cinema internationally in the best possible manner," the release said.

"This is a high-cost, high value project and we would not like to specify the exact cost of the project at this point," the group added.

According to Kamal Haasan, "we will launch the multi-lingual, mutli-dollar magnum opus very soon."
