September 05, 2007 15:39 IST

Amid an alleged break up between Kareena Kapoor [Images] and Shahid Kapur -- the rumour mills have been saying Saif Ali Khan [Images] figures in the picture -- comes a film starring the pair.

Jab We Met, directed by Imtiaz Ali (who garnered great reviews with his debut Socha Na Tha), tells an interesting story, though it may be one we have already heard before.

Shahid plays a rich industrialist who is devastated because the girl he loves is marrying someone else. To get away from it all, he boards a train.

Kareena plays a girl who leaving Mumbai to elope with her boyfriend.

The two meet on the train.

Soon, they are stranded on a desolate station, without luggage or money. They try to make their way to her house in Ambala. Once at their destination, Kareena's family mistakes them as lovers. She runs away from the house to meet her boyfriend, and Shahid decides to help her reach Manali.

But by then, he falls in love with her. Whether she returns his love or returns to her boyfriend forms the rest of the film.

Will Jab We Met see a better fate at the box office than Shahid-Kareena's Fida? You, the audience, will decide.
