The Mahajan family saga will soon find its place on celluloid, with producer Ranjit Sharma set to make a movie on the strained relationship between brothers Pramod and Pravin.

According to Sharma, the film will be titled Main Mahajan Bol Raha Hun. It will be launched in July and be ready for release by February 2007. When asked if he had permission from Pravin Mahajan in this regard, Sharma said it wasn't necessary. The Mahajan saga is now in the public domain, he added, so making a film on it would not be difficult.

Amjad Khan, who directed Deepa Ki Tarannum (based on the famous bar girl), will helm this film.

"We plan to rope in Raj Babbar for the role of Pramod Mahajan and Anupam Kher [Images] for Pravin's. Karan Khanna has been shortlisted to play Rahul Mahajan's part," he said. "The casting is not finalised though."
