Amitabh to sing in Babul

Amitabh BachchanThefilm industry heaved asighofrelief asBollywood's busiesticonstepped outof his residence for a songrecording for Ravi Chopra's Babul.Amitabh's first professional outing sincehis illness, the song was formusic director and close friend Aadesh Shrivastava,athis new studio AV Sound.

Amitabh gets back to work

"It happened so suddenly," says Aadesh. On February 18, Iinaugurated my new recording studio.I would have liked nothingbetter thanto start with Dada (Bachchan)'s recording, but wasn't sure he would beableto make it.Byevening, I was toldhe was on. We recordedahip-hip numberwrittenby Sameer called Come On Come On Chalo Jashn Manaye from 11.30 pm to 2 am. Hats off to that amazing man!Just back from his illness, he rendered my difficult song withall the energy we expect from him."

Aadesh has got Amitabh to record several songs for him in the past. "We firstdid asong in Major Saab. Since then, I have become part ofhis world. If Ihad my way, I would have him sing all the songs I compose forhis films. I intendto make him sing at least three songs in Babul."

The Big B recorded another song forthe film on Monday night. "It was a sadsong," reveals Aadesh. "I feel doubly blessed that Dada should have returned to work after his illness with two songs for me. It makes me feel very privileged.He always underestimates his singing. He wantsusallto believe he cannot sing, but the fact is he can give expressionsinasong that others cannot think of."
